We booked our Sapa trip and Halong bay trip with Lily and were completely delighted… We were picked up at bus station in Sapa by Su and walked to homestay on the other side of hills. Mattresses in homestay were very comfortable and the food was delicious.

We took the “less touristic” tour in Sapa which was really that: not many other tourists, a knowledgable guide from the local tribe, awesome local food and a rustic (not to say basic) home stay.

Trekking itself was not too difficult. You will absolutely not go hungry, we ate some amazing home cooked food and it just kept coming! You may also drink more rice wine than you planned…. Putney 2015
