Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba Pass- Yen Minh – Dong Van
Arrive in Ha Giang early after your luxury night bus from Hanoi.
After breakfast and a freshen up, meet your guide and driver to start your first tour of Ha Giang by car.
Your drive will take you to over the Quan Ba Heaven Gate, which provides an incredible view over the Dong Van Geological Park.
Enjoy lunch upon arrival in the small town of Yen Minh before continuing to Dong Van.
Your first stop is the Palace of the H’mong King – one of the most important cultural and historical monuments in Dong Van.
Moving deeper into the centuries-old village – where the Tay ethnic minority people live, relying on farming and making corn wine, admire the unique architecture and ancient roofs over 100 years old.
We’ll check into your hotel in Dong Van town in the afternoon and then you’ll have the evening free to have dinner and further explore the old town.
Dong Van – Chinese Border – Ma Pi Leng Pass- Meo Vac
Today it’s time to head even further North of Ha Giang to see the Chinese border. Walk up to the flag tower and gaze out over Vietnam’s neighbour.
Back in the car, we’ll take our second high mountain pass, the Ma Pi Leng Pass. This is considered the king of Vietnam’s high passes and has unbeatable panoramic views. Enjoy the aptly named the Happiness Road, where you can admire the majestic landscape of the Ma Pi Leng canyon 800m deep and the Nho Que River below.
Your second night in Ha Giang will be spent in the town of Meo Vac. Freshen up at your hotel and have dinner in the area. You are then free to explore Meo Vac town by night.
Meo Vac – Lung Phin – Du Gia – Ha Giang – Hanoi
Check out and have breakfast early for an 8am departure to Du Gia village. The journey will take a couple of hours, through spectacular mountain scenery and endless, colourful terraces.
Also known as Fairy Village, famous for the wild and majestic mountains and rivers that surround the village. Wander between the homes of the Tay and Hmong people and no doubt experience, their generous hospitable and friendly nature.
Around 5pm, we will arrive in Ha Giang. You’ll get the chance to take a shower in town while you wait for the bus back to Hanoi.
