Morning: Depart for the Cu Chi tunnels early in the morning and listen to an overview of this historic site on the journey.

Today you will get to explore a section of the network of some 125 miles (200 kilometres) of subterranean passages and rooms.

Upon on arrival at Cu Chi, watch a short documentary film about the tunnels to learn a little more about the history and stories of the area and the war itself.

Inside the tunnels, you will understand the pivotal role they played in the war as you climb through trap doors and inside storage facilities, weapons factories, kitchens and hospitals.

Before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

Afternoon: In the afternoon head into central Saigon to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office. These two historic buildings stand side by side in a beautiful square.

Next, drive over to the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of Saigon’s loveliest temples built in honour of the Taoist god Ngoc Hoang.

End the day in Ben Thanh Market. This bustling market is a popular meeting place and the perfect spot to grab an evening drink and snack.
