Morning: Start your trip early with a hotel pick up in Hanoi’s Old Quarter to make the 100km journey to Ninh Binh. On the way, relax and enjoy the beauty of the rural Vietnamese countryside.

On arrival, your guide will take you through Hoa Lu – the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. Visit the 10th century Dinh king temple and Le king temple, learning the heroic histories of these two Kings in the Chinese Wars.

Close to Hoa Lu, you’ll also find the beautiful cave, pagoda and brilliant blue lake of Tuyet Tinh Coc. This place has one of the best views in Ninh Binh and isn’t yet wildly known!

Lunch: Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, with a variety of meat and vegetable dishes and plenty of rice!

Afternoon: After a local lunch, head to Tam Coc river and step into a rowboat to explore the area. Pass between the karst mountains, past rice paddies and through three enormous caves whose stalactite reach down towards the water. It takes approximately two hours to slowly make your way along the peaceful river, so you should sit back and relax and take it all in.

Then, swap the boat for a bicycle and make your way between the rice fields to Bich Dong Pagoda. Spend some time admiring this beautiful Buddhist temple before heading back to Hanoi for the evening.
