Explore Vietnam’s Wonders! From Ha Giang’s mountains to Ha Long Bay’s beauty, Ninh Binh’s caves, and the coastal charm of Hoi An & Da Nang.

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

Airport transfer and fly to Hanoi

DAY 2: HANOI – HA GIANG

08:45: Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho. You have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. 

Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Goddess of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world.

10:15: Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam.

Special Note: We will visit Vietnamese Women’s Museum instead of Vietnam Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays.

12:30 - 12:45: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. Vegeterian foods are available.

13:30: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. It is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi built in the 6th century. 

14:30: Continue to visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, The Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Northern Vietnam. The Temple of Literature was founded in 1070.

15:30: Keep going to visit Hoa Lo Prison, the prison was built by the French, from 1886 to 1901, when Vietnam was still a part of French Indochina. The French called the prison Maison Centrale. The prison was called “A Hell on Earth” and now the prison is like a war museum for those who want to understand more about the war against France of Vietnamese people.

16:30: Our Bus take you back to the Hotel , then you can freely going exploring Hanoi until 8PM, we will take bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang

DAY 3: LAO CAI - SAPA

08:30 - 10:00: Have a delicious breakfast at HagiangGo Hotel and proceed to get ready to

start discovering the mountainous Northern Loop.

10:30: start the loop tour.

- Dong Van Karst Plateau viewpoint

- Bac Sum pass

- Heaven gate

- Short hiking to visit Angel couple Hill

- Quan Ba 

- Yen Minh Homestay (overnight)

DAY 4: YEN MINH - LUNG TAM - LUNG CU - DONG VAN

08:00: Have breakfast.

09:00: Continue the loop tour. Destinations reach:

- Tham Ma pass

- Pho Cao Village

- Lung Cam Village

- Stunning viewpoint

- Lung Cu Flag Tower

- Dong Van (overnight)

- Old Quarters of Dong Van.

DAY 5: DONG VAN - MA PI LENG - MAU DUE - HA GIANG - HANOI

08:00: Have breakfast.

09:00: Continue the loop tour. Destinations reach:

- Ma Pi Leng Pass

- Short hiking Died Cliff Viewpoint

- Meo Vac, Ta Lung and Mau Due Villages.

- Lung Tam Village

15:00: Return to Ha Giang Go Hotel in the town of Ha Giang. Take a shower, pack and ready all of your backpacks and luggage, then take sleeping bus back to Hanoi

DAY 6: HANOI – HALONG BAY (ITINERARY OF THE CRUISE IS ONLY FOR REFERENCES, EACH CRUISE WILL HAVE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT ITINERARY)

08:00: Pick-up time

12:00: The crew members of Mon Cheri Cruise will welcome you at No.34, Tuan Chau Marina, Quang Ninh. Phone for receptionist at Mon Cheri Cruise lounge: +84 987671669 / +84 936905115.

12:30: You will be taken aboard our support vessel and travel from the wharf via the bay to board our luxurious craft, Mon Chéri Cruise. Itinerary briefing is announced during this time.

13:00: Welcome fresh drinks, wet towels and a special lunch of fresh food and an assortment of appetizing delicacies will be served. You will be enchanted when decadently dining on our luxury junk. Life just doesn't get better than this! We then set sail for Lan Ha Bay - A member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays.

Enjoy the delicious luncheon of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing delicacies while cruising along Lan Ha bay with the breathtaking scenery.

15:30: Visiting Tra Bau area where has known as an area famous for its unspoiled, poetic natural beauty and attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. This is the best time for kayaking to discover the truest beauty of the limestone islands.

Immerse yourself in the emerald green water of the bay or enjoy the Jacuzzi pool on the Mon Chéri Cruises. 

17:30 - 18:30: Joining us for Cooking demonstration to learn how to make one of the most famous Vietnamese cuisines, the spring rolls. Or reach the top deck of the cruise where the guests can admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.

Enjoy a Happy Hour time – BUY ONE GET ONE FREE at the bar. It is an ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the greatest moment of sunset over Lan Ha Bay.

19:30: Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served by our skillful chef. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting.

21:00 - 22:00: Relax and sip the exotic cocktails and drinks at the sky bar (with surcharge).

Indulge yourself with spa service (optional) or simply relax on the top deck just under the cover of a brightly illuminated sky.

Or try to get your luck at the squid fishing on the main deck.

DAY 7: HA LONG – NINH BINH

06:00: Sunrise Tai-chi section on sundeck
Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sun just rising up beyond the horizon. 

06:45 - 07:15: Breakfast is served while cruising back to Gia Luan jetty. (Breakfast time maybe adjust and follow the real itinerary) 

07:30 - 09:00: You will join the tour of Cat Ba World Biosphere by transshipment. It takes 30 minutes to transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang – one of the most impressive caves in Cat Ba island, Vietnam. The limestone cave has thousands of stalactites in various shapes, offering geological values with a typical cave ecosystem.

09:30: Return to the main boat from the cave and the guests will do the cabin check out. Luggage is placed outside of the cabin.

Lunch is served at the restaurant. Settle the bar bill by the desk at the restaurant (if any)

10:30 -  11:00: Disembark the Mon Cheri Cruises and transferred back to Block #34, Big Bay group terminal, Tuan Chau Marina. Relax and wait for the luggage.

11:30 - 12:00: The guests are ready at Tuan Chau Marina. 

Transfer to Ninh Binh and freetime

DAY 8: NINH BINH – DONG HOI

10:30: Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.  

13:00: Visit Tam Coc by 1.5-hour bamboo boat.  You will be surprised by the charming beauty here with paddy fields, river, water, clouds, sky, and a stunning cave system during the boat trip. All of them make a masterpiece that the Vietnamese people called “Ha Long Bay on land.”  

14:30: Continue the tour for 45 mins - cycling around the village to discover the lives of the local people.

15:30: Get back to the transportation, then leave for Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). If you walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain and have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here

18:00: Get on the transportation to return to your accommodation. Then evening transfer to train station to take overnight train to Dong Hoi (Phong Nha)

DAY 9: DONG HOI – PHONG NHA

08:00: Pick up from your train station in Dong Hoi City, the one hour driving on Ho Chi Minh Trail East heading to Phong Nha 

08:45 - 09:00: Our bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Phong Nha, start a dreamy trip to stunning scenery with thousands of limestone mountains through Phong Nha National park and Ho Chi Minh trails (the trails were built during the “American War” to get troops and material to the south to help in fighting on the southern side of the DMZ line).

10:15: Visit Paradise cave – the Cave was labeled the World’s most beautiful and magnificent. It has a length of 31.4 kms and is the longest dry cave in Asia. With naturally primitive features, Paradise Cave looks like a landscape painting, making it very attractive to visitors.

12:30: Bus picks up to go to Dark cave and have lunch at Dark cave restaurant with Vietnamese traditional dishes.

13:30: You will explore Dark cave. The cave is really amazing where you can experience many adventure activities such as Zipline, mud bathing, kayaking on Chay river and swimming.

16:30: Back to Phong Nha town.

DAY 10: PHONG NHA – DONG HOI - HUE

09:00: Transfer to train station to take train to Hue (3hrs)

In the evening , we will have a food tour in Hue we will stop at the walking night market and enjoy some other local street food while walking around.

  • Bun Bo Hue – Hue Beef Vermicelli Soup
  • Bun Thit Nuong – Grilled Pork Vermicelli
  • Banh Beo – Steamed Rice Discs Topped with Shrimp
  • Banh Loc – Filtered Tapioca Dumplings
  • Banh Ram It – Fried dumpling topped with Sticky Rice Dumpling
  • Nem Lui – Grilled Ground Pork on Stick
  • Banh Uot – Grilled Pork Wrapped with Hue Wet Rice Paper
  • Banh Khoai – Hue Fried Pancake
  • Che – Sweet Soup
  • Me Xung – Sesame candy
  • Trai Cay – Hue Seasonal Fruits
  • Coffee Viet – black or with condensed milk

Choose either Bun Bo Hue or Bun Thit Nuong. The menu will include only one of them.

DAY 11: HUE

08:00 - 08:30: Pick up at hotel (center)

16:00 - 16:30: Drop off at hotel

Morning: 

  • Dragon boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda - The oldest pagoda in Hue city.
  • Imperial Citadel – The home of Vietnam's last royal dynasty - the Nguyen Dynasty.
  • Hue Royal Antiquities Museum - A collection of ornaments from the Nguyen dynasty.
  • Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people.

Afternoon: 

  • Lunch at a local restaurant. 
  • Khai Dinh King’s Tomb - a blend of Western and Eastern architecture.
  • Minh Mang King’s Tomb, one is impressed by the majesty and symmetry of the architectural constructions.
  • Conical hat village, incense stick making village

16:00 - 16:30:  Back to your hotel.

DAY 12: HUE – HOI AN

08:00: Our experienced motorbike driver will pick you up at your hotel to go to Hoi An, driving on Highway 1A. Our first stop is at the Dream Springs, where we can swim and relax in beautiful water and nature. This is a very popular spot for locals to come to swim and relax on a hot day.

We continue to Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Beach, Lang Co Bay and paddy fields for a short break and Kodak Moment at beautiful Lang Co Beach with one of the most beautiful bays in the world - Lang Co Bay. Then we will make a stop in Lap An Lagoon in some beautiful local stilted house restaurants, where they are serving very fresh local seafood for an optional lunch.

We then ride over the Hai Van Pass, known as Cloudy Pass, This thousand-meter-high barrier forms a climatic frontier blocking the southward penetration of cold, damp winter airstreams, which often bury the tops under thick cloud banks and earn it the title Hai Van, When crossing the top of the pass, you are literally surrounded by clouds on one side with stunning ocean views on the other. On the Top of Hai Van passes also the border line between Hue and Danang city.

After that, we travel through Danang to a stop at My Khe Beach (Known as China Beach) for a swim. Our final stop is at Marble Mountain, with five marble outcrops topped with delicate pagodas, before riding to Hoi an. Our fantastic motorcycle tour from Hue to Hoi An will finish when our experienced driver drops you off at your hotel in Hoi An city.

DAY 13: HOI AN

08:30: Depart from your hotel , Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby, than you will cycle around Hoi An towards the Tra Que vegetable village

 - About 150 farmers and 400 owners live there and cultivate about 20 types of vegetables and herbs such as mint, lettuce, basil, cilantro, broccoli and many more. From the more than 40 hectares of land 8 tons of Village Tra vegetables are sold every year. The vegetable growers do not use pesticides or GMOs, using natural fertilizers instead, including seaweed found in the river and harvested by gardeners every morning. 

10:00: During the walk, you will cross vast rice fields in the countryside and quiet roads, far away from the tourist trails. You will see the activities of the inhabitants through the villages of Hoi An. 

11:00: Walk in Tra Que vegetable village and meet local people working in the garden. The local farmer will teach you all about cultivation methods and how to protect developing vegetables from the insects as well as join the farmers in preparing gardening activities such as raking the ground, sowing, watering greens, transplanting and tending greens. 

12:00: Continue riding through the paddy field, Ba Le market, kindergarten ... until reaching Van Lang fisherman village and Bay Mau coconut water forest - about 7 hectares, surrounded by mangrove forests, canals, houses covered by coconut water leaf . This place had been the refuge for people and local soldiers during the Vietnam War. Nowadays, it is famous for providing the most seafood products. You will be warmly welcomed at Mr.Han – a 3 generation family, taste green tea and stroll through the village. You will row a basket boat within the hands of skillful locals and discover their techniques of traditional fishery in water coconut forest. 

13:30: Have lunch with a local family. Lunch will feature many local delicacies, such as Tam Huu spring rolls, Banh Xeo local pancakes, grilled fish in banana leaf and others.

14:30: We will go back to visit the Hoi An Ancient Town for many beautiful places like Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Ancient House, then ending the tour with the lantern drop on a boat ride, then take you back to hotel

DAY 14: DEPARTURE
