Po Nagar Cham Towers Nha Trang (also known as Cham Po Nagar Towers) is a complex of temples of the ancient Champa kingdom, located on Cu Lao hill, on the banks of the Cai River and about 2 km north of Nha Trang city center. The project was built in many stages from the 7th to the 12th Dating back to the 7th century, this construction employs baked bricks and unique techniques that remain largely uninterpreted.

The center of the complex is the main tower about 23 meters high, worshiping the goddess Po Nagar (Yan Po Nagar). This is the Mother Goddess of the land, a symbol of prosperity, protection and fertility in Cham culture. In addition to the main tower, there are also towers dedicated to Shiva, Sanhaka, and many other auxiliary structures. Each tower has sophisticated patterns, statues of gods and reliefs in the My Son and Dong Duong styles, demonstrating the high artistic levels of the ancient Cham people.

The relic site currently has 4 towers that are still quite intact, along with a large ceremony yard, where traditional rituals take place, especially the Po Nagar Tower Festival, which takes place in the third lunar month every year, attracting thousands of people to make a pilgrimage and participate in ball dancing, offering offerings, and praying for peace.

How to get to Po Nagar Cham Towers

From Nha Trang city center, you can easily get to Po Nagar Cham Tower by taxi or ride-hailing car. This is the most convenient and fastest way, taking only about 5 to 10 minutes to travel. Apps like Grab, Be or XanhSM are popular. The cost ranges from 40,000 to 70,000 VND for one trip.

If you want to be proactive with your schedule, a motorbike is a suitable choice. You can rent a motorbike for about 120,000 to 150,000 VND per day. The route is effortless to take: starting from Tran Phu Street and going over Tran Phu Bridge. Then, you turn right onto Thap Ba street. You continue straight for about 1 km and you will see the gate of the relic site. There is a convenient parking lot for visitors.

Buses are also an economical means of transport for tourists. Some routes such as routes 4 or 6 have stops near Thap Ba. It takes 5 to 7 minutes to walk there from the station. The bus fare currently ranges from 7,000 to 10,000 VND per trip, suitable for those who like local experiences.

In case you stay near Tran Phu Bridge or Dam Market, walking or cycling to Nha Trang Po Nagar Tower is also very convenient. The distance is only about 1.5 to 2 km; the road is flat and easy to move on, suitable for those who love light exercise.
