When we arrived Hanoi, I found that there was a typo error in air ticket issued for our return. My niece will face the risk to deny entry to plane due to this error. As a result from this, we are requested to send our passport & booking confirmation to airline office to rectify it. As not to interrupt our trip in Vietnam, Doris offered the help to come & collect the passport & booking confirmation with me in a tourist spot & immediately sent for rectification. As I be arriving to Hanoi towards the end of April, I had a great discussion with Emma and Lucy on my 5 days in Vietnam travel plan. Both ladies ensured that everything will be taken care from airport pick up to my preference in staying on the type of hotel, transport to and from Ha Long bay, cruise ship type, transport from hotel to the airport.

Shout out to Lucy for going above and beyond to ensure everything is in order even though she's back to her hometown and I'm done with the 2D1N tour, and not forgetting answering my question about the trip + random question about Vietnam e.g. tips, food, old quarter location, and the public holidays. Vani helped us plan our packed 8 days Central-North Vietnam trip - she was patient and super responsive to my many many questions and changes, often coming back overnight (due to time differences between Vietnam & the US) with ideas/ proposals that worked. She gave us good recommendations on hotels, cruises, and transportation choices which turned out to be quite accurate (as it should be, but quite often, otherwise, with some other agencies!) Even after we were handed off to the Customer Care team after booking, she continued to keep an eye on our trip!

The Customer Care team, spearheaded by Quinny for our trip, was a delight to work with. She is enthusiastic, optimistic and upbeat, which makes working with her a pleasure. When she was indisposed for awhile, the other Customer care personnel (Lucy, Mina, Duong), stepped in to cover without missing a beat. I worked with many customer facing teams, and have been responsible for developing such teams - this team definitely sets the standard for customer care!

The test of any organization is not when things are going well - the rubber meets the road when problems happen. We ran into a bad stretch in the middle of our trip, when we had a couple of flaky pickups, amongst other issues. Upon finding out that the pickups did not happen, the Customer care team jumped into action, working with their partners to ensure we had a safe, and timely journey to our next destinations. They kept us updated of what was happening and was most apologetic about the situation, taking ownership of the problem, even though it was clearly caused by another organization. I found the accountability of and accessibility to the Customer Care team very reassuring in a country where I do not speak their language, and where some of the infrastructure may not be as robust as desired.

The service that Lily's Travel provides is almost like a concierge service, but at a price that is very surprisingly competitive (in one case, cheaper than what I would have had to pay had I booked through Klook myself)! For all the above, and for the relationships formed in dealing with them, I don't hesitate to recommend them as your travel partner to plan your trip in Vietnam. Things may not go perfect (or it may!) but you can be assured that you have a backup that works for you in Vietnam if/when you need help!

My husband and I hadn't done a touring type of holiday as a couple for a long time and never in Asia, so were a little nervous about how to get around in Vietnam. We did however want to do our own thing and not be restricted with an organised tour. This is when I found Lily’s on TripAdvisor.

We felt confident to organise our own itinerary and accommodation, but we felt like we needed a little help with transport and a few tours.

Lily’s went beyond our expectations. We started with bouncing ideas off Tim and he helped us arrange an itinerary and helped us with tours and transport.
Once the itinerary was confirmed and a deposit paid, his colleague Doris took over and basically was our in-country contact. A couple of weeks prior to setting off, we had a video conference with Doris to go through the whole itinerary, finalize some timings, ask questions, and confirm everything. Doris’ English was very good and her quick thinking in a second language amazed me.

Once in Vietnam everything was great. We visited Lily’s office in Hanoi, hoping to meet with Doris and Tim but unfortunately, they were both out on a training day. However, the staff we met were gorgeous and very hospitable. They got us a cold drink and stopped work to have a chat with us.

The different tours and tour guides Lily’s arranged were great and all had very good English. We learnt a lot about the culture, history, and daily life of the Vietnamese people. Our biggest highlight was our food tour in Hanoi. Our guide Trung was a lovely young gentlemen who taught us so much and took us to some wonderful well known restaurants and others not so well known.

Our only hiccup was that there was a couple of times where our drivers were a little late (no fault of Lily’s) and within minutes of contacting Doris, she was able to tell us how long they would be (only matter of minutes away). In our experience someone was always contactable.

We found their pricing to be excellent value for money. And to have the confidence to travel the country knowing that there was someone there who had your back or who could translate for you if you ran into any difficulties, made our trip so much smoother.

Lilly's gave us a top notch service  - My experience with Lilly's Travel Agency was first rate, Elena worked with me to tailor make a trip to suit us with a bit of adventure, culture and some relaxation.... read more We then looked at flights and found it was better for us to do the tour in reverse which was no problem for Elena to organise. We were looked after every step of our tour with Doris only a whatsapp message away and we never waited for our pick up. Also besides being lovely people the quote was also very reasonable.
We visited HoChiMinh with Cu Chi tunnel tour, Hue, Hoi An, Ha Noi, Sapa, Ninh Binh and Halong Bay in 14 days. Our hotels were all very lovely Hoi An was the best cause we had the use of free bikes to come and go into the centre.
This is our first time in Vietnam and also the first time I have used a tour guide to do all arrangements and we were so happy to have done everything directly with Lilly's. Halong Bay trip on the Amanda cruise was a bit of luxury the food was delicious. We walked, cycled, rowed, cooked and ate very well throughout our trip. This trip was so good I recommended them to my friend and she booked several things on her trip with Elena.
We went to visit them on our second last day to say what fun we had so I had to attach a pic of us all together.
