Which season is beautiful in Phan Thiet?
Phan Thiet is in a dry area in a typical tropical climate, with lots of sunshine and wind. There are still two seasons: rainy and sunny, but the rainy season is brief. It is also less affected by storms, and there is no fog so visitors can come to Phan Thiet any time of the year. June and July or December to February is the ideal time to travel to Phan Thiet.
Transportation
Phan Thiet is about 1,500 km from Hanoi and about 210 km from Ho Chi Minh City, there is no airport, so you have to travel by means such as passenger cars, self-driving cars, trains…
If you use a private vehicle from Ho Chi Minh City, it will take you about 2 hours to travel on the new Long Thanh – Dau Giay – Phan Thiet highway inaugurated on April 30, 2023.
To Phan Thiet from Hanoi, tourists buy air tickets to Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) or Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) and continue to drive to Phan Thiet. Airfare prices range from 2 to 4 million VND, depending on the time.
Saigon station to Phan Thiet station takes nearly 4 hours, and the train ticket price is 250,000-350,000 VND. A bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet costs between 200,000 and 450,000 VND, depending on the kind. Bus from Khanh Hoa to Phan Thiet costs about 150,000-300,000 VND. Bus ticket prices from Hanoi to Phan Thiet range from 1 to 1.2 million VND.
There are often shuttle buses from Phan Thiet City to hotels and resorts in Mui Ne.

Places to visit
Phan Thiet’s tourism map is organized into four major areas: the city center, Mui Ne, Mui Ke Ga, and Hon Rom. Starting from one of these four points, you can explore other famous landmarks in Phan Thiet. Phan Thiet is usually just a stopover for tourists combined with a rest at Mui Ne. Ocean Hill Marine Park
Doi Duong Beach Park, formerly called Doi Duong Beach, is in the city’s heart. On the beach, visitors pass through rows of windbreaks planted on both sides. Stepping out of the positive row is a large white sand beach, stretching into an arc, suitable for sea sports such as volleyball and sand filling. The seawater of Duong Hill is very shallow and smooth, with few large waves, so it is safe. Guests come to bathe for free.
Phan Thiet water tower
Phan Thiet Water Tower is a symbol of Binh Thuan province, built in 1928 and completed in 1934 by architect Prince Souphanouvong (later President of Lao PDR). The water tower is made of baked bricks, with a height of 32 m. From a distance, the structure resembles a massive lotus flower.
Relic Area at Duc Thanh School
Located in the center of Phan Thiet City, Duc Thanh School (1907 – 1912) was born and operated according to the general policy of the Duy Tan movement. This is also where President Ho Chi Minh stopped teaching from September 1910 to February 1911 before finding a way to save the country.
Today, in the Duc Thanh school area, there are still almost intact memorabilia associated with the teaching time in Phan Thiet of President Ho Chi Minh.

Dinh Van Thuy Tu
Van Thuy Tu Palace is a place to worship the Marine Fishermen of Binh Thuan. Inside ten thousand is a place to honor more than 100 whale skeletons, including the giant whale skeleton in Southeast Asia. This is also the place to keep 24 ordinations of the Nguyen Dynasty kings.
When coming here, visitors not only admire the ancient beauty of hundreds of years but also can learn more about the rituals and festivals associated with fishing beliefs.
Ong Hoang Floor
Located at the top of Ba Nai Hill, Ong Hoang floor is the remnant of the villa built by Duke De Montpensier in 1911. However, the villa currently only has an acoustic base. The place tourists often go to is a bunker made by France during the war located nearby.
This was also the place to date and watch the moon of the poet Han Mac Tu (1912 – 1940) with his lover Mong Cam. One of the poet’s famous poems about the Hoang Office is the song “Phan Thiet Phan Thiet.”
Po Sah Inu Tower
Less than 2 km from Ong Hoang’s floor is the Po Sah Inu Tower. This is one of the oldest temples and buildings of the Champa kingdom in Binh Thuan, dating from the early 8th to the 9th century.
This tower, although its tiny and medium size, is a crystallization of the ancient Cham people’s architectural techniques and beautiful arts. Visitors can enter the building for 10,000 VND per turn.
Ong Dia Stone Beach
About 10 km from the center of Phan Thiet City, Ong Dia Stone Beach is a clean beach with fine sand, stretches and no gravel, a shallow sea bed, and clear and very smooth water.
Coming to Da Ong Dat beach, visitors can choose the pleasures of walking on the beach, sitting down for coffee, checking in with colorful baskets and breakwater embankments, or experiencing other types of sea sports, such as surfing.
Notes
April and May are the peak hot time of Phan Thiet, the temperature is more than 30 degrees, and the sun is intense. In July-August, the beaches in Phan Thiet will have red tide, and seaweed blooming, making the seawater cloudy and unsuitable for bathing.
Phan Thiet is a famous beach resort, so if you intend to come here, you should book in advance to avoid hotels and resorts running out of rooms, especially in the high season.
