Built-in the late nineteenth century, Long Bien Bridge is not only a bridge connecting the banks of the Red River but also a place to keep many memories of Hanoi-loving people. The bridge spans more than 1.6 kilometers, including the railway and road. The most beautiful spot to see the panoramic view of the bridge is the coffee shop on Tran Quang Khai Street. From here, you can see the image of the train from Gia Lam Station to Long Bien Station on the historic bridge.

King Ly Thanh Tong decided to build Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam in 1070 with the purpose to be home to many valuable artifacts, including 82 doctoral steles recognized by UNESCO as World Documentary Heritage.

Hoan Kiem Lake, in the city center, is associated with the legend of King Le Loi returning the sword to the turtle so Hoan Kiem lake has another name Sword Lak..
