General Information
Tuan Chau Island is located about 2km from the center of Ha Long city. The squatter of this island is up to 400 ha but the area for tourists is about 220 ha, created by gentle hills. There is a concrete road about 2km long to connect the island with the mainland so that you can move to the island and come back in one day, which is very easy and convenient.
The sea in Tuan Chau is an artificial sea. It does not mean that the “hot” level of Tuan Chau has been decreased. The beach with fine white sand is so suitable for tourists to celebrate for team – building activities. On this island, there are so many traces and remains that have been revealed, so don’t forget to pass by some relics.
Time to “check-in” on Tuan Chau Island
In each season, the nature of Tuan Chau Island has a distinct and unique beauty like almost islands in Ha Long Bay. But the flawless time on this island is from March to the end of October. At this time, you can enjoy the blue sea, white sand, and sunshine on the island.
In the middle of summer (from May to July), the weather will be a little hot. On some days, the temperature can reach 40 degrees – not suitable for outside activities.

Bai Chay beach
Bai Chay Beach is an artificial beach of more than 1000m, the largest in Ha Long city. The distance between Tuan Chau Island to Quang Ninh is about 11km, taking you about 15 minutes on boat.
Lan Ha Bay
This bay is known as a beautiful and poetic destination near Tuan Chau Island. The bay is located in the bordering area of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong. You can explore Lan Ha Bay from Tuan Chau International Cruise Port. Travel distance is about 10km, and it takes about 10 minutes by train. So convenient.
Quan Lan Island
Quan Lan Island is near Tuan Chau Island, located in Van Don in Bai Tu Long Bay. All sides of this island are surrounded by sea. From Tuan Chau island to Quan Lan island it takes about 54km, about 45 minutes away by boat. You will get to the island from Cam Pha wharf or Cai Rong wharf.
Co To Island
The island is located to the east of Quang Ninh, about 80km from Tuan Chau island in Quang Ninh, described as The paradise island of Northeast Vietnam with primeval beaches
You can go to the island by wooden boat or speedboat, departing from Cai Rong or Van Don ports. It takes you about 90 minutes by speedboat and 4 hours by wooden train. Other places you should visit there such as Cau My rock beach, Co To light house, Co To church…
