The King Christ Statue

The statue of King Christ in Vung Tau is also known by many other names such as the statue of Christ with his arms outstretched, the statue of Christ in the Small Mountain, and the statue of The King Christ. This is a statue of Jesus located on the Small Mountain, which is a famous tourist destination and one of the symbols of the coastal city of Vung Tau.

The Christ statue on the Little Mountain was built between 1974 and 1994. The statue is 32m high, two arms are 18.4m long. The statue is placed on a unique 10m high bow-shaped pedestal, in front of the relief “The Last Supper”, behind the picture “The Lord gave the key to Peter”.

From the foot of Little Mountain, visitors have to cross 1,000 steps to reach the foot of God. Inside the statue is a small spiral staircase with 133 steps leading up to the Lord’s shoulder. There is a small balcony, accommodating about 3-5 people, where visitors can see the city of Vung Tau from above.

Lighthouse

On Small Mountain, there is an equally famous tourist destination of Vung Tau, which is Vung Tau lighthouse. Like most lighthouses, it is painted white and stands 18 meters tall. Vung Tau Lighthouse is one of Vietnam’s oldest lighthouses, built by the French in 1862, located at 143m above sea level. In 1913, the lighthouse was moved to a height of 170 meters. To come here, you go to Bai Truoc park, go to Ha Long beach, turn right, continue on the road along the mountain. This road has a very beautiful view, on one side of the road overlooking the city of Vung Tau with green trees.

As you move, you will see that there is a road that is a stone wall adorned by a few branches of confetti. This is also the place where check-in is popular with young people and visitors. Every afternoon, the road leading to the lighthouse is chosen by many people in Vung Tau to walk and exercise.

Nghinh Phong Mountain

Nghinh Phong Mountain is a headland jutting out into the sea, located opposite the area of The King Christ statue. This place is known by many tourists as a beautiful Vung Tau check-in location, where can see the Vung Tau beach from above. The word “wind” means to catch the wind. The wind from the sea blows here, gently, coolly, bringing a pleasant and pleasant feeling. Nui Nghinh Phong is like a small hill, gently sloping. You can follow the stairs and ramp to the high mound.

There is also the “sky gate” – a short wall with the gate facing the sea. Perhaps this is an abandoned construction, now becomes an interesting background for tourists’ Vung Tau check-in. To visit the cape of Nghinh Phong, you just need to park your car in the front of toad cafe and walk in. The parking fee is about 5.000 VND/unit.

Vong Nguyet Beach

Compared to the famous tourist destinations of Vung Tau, Vong Nguyet beach is still not well known to many tourists. Vong Nguyet beach is a small beach, only about 100m long, located right under the nose of Nghinh Phong. Therefore, to reach Vong Nguyet beach, you have to send a car outside the cape of Nghinh Phong and walk in and then follow the slope leading down to the beach.

Because the road is difficult to go, almost no one bathes here, all three sides are rocks, so it is not convenient for bathing. In return, Vong Nguyet beach still retains its pristine appearance, suitable for taking check-in photos. You can visit Vong Nguyet beach when visiting Cape Nghinh Phong to save time.

Pig Hill

Pig Hill is a tourist destination Vung Tau is known by many tourists and enthusiasts to explore. This is a rocky hill located on the back beach. Standing on Con Pigo hill, you will see the entire Back beach, Vung Tau city from above, along with famous tourist attractions such as the lighthouse, Ba island.

According to the people, this hill used to be a place for quarrying, so the scenery is still wild, the gray cliffs are high, the jagged rocks accidentally become the background of extreme photography. To reach Pig Hill, you run along Thuy Van street towards the previous beach. When arriving at Thuy Van – Phan Chu Trinh junction, turn onto Phan Chu Trinh street, then turn again into alley 222. The road leading up to Pig Hill is quite difficult to go, if you are a new driver, you should send your car to the opposite side of the road and walk up to ensure safety.

Suoi Tien – Suoi Da (Fary Stream – Stone Stream)

On the way from Vung Tau back to Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City has a picnic tourist destination, Suoi Tien – Suoi Da. From the top of Dinh Mountain, a stream flows to the foot of the mountain, forming many streams with small lakes. The highest stream is Suoi Tien, and the lowest stream is Suoi Da. Therefore, many people who hear the name “Fairy stream” or “Stone stream” think that it is two different points but it is just from one stream.

Coming to Suoi Tien – Suoi Da, you can bathe in the stream right in the middle of the forest, the air is very fresh and cool. If you go in large groups, you can rent a hut to rest, have a light meal. Another interesting activity here is trekking to the top of Dinh Mountain. The stone road by the stream leads to the top of the mountain, from here you can see the Tien stream, visit Hang pagoda, Western pagoda and Tung Lam pagoda.

Da Xanh Lake

Also located on the way from Vung Tau to Saigon, about 15km from Vung Tau, Da Xanh Lake is known as a unique check-in location without having to go far. Da Xanh Lake is a lake located in the middle of a rocky mountain. Once a quarrying area, the chemicals from the mining make the lake a unique emerald color, the watercolor is more prominent among the rocks that are only gray and brown with a few small trees.

Currently, Da Xanh Lake charges from 20.000 – 150.000 VND for guests to take photos based on the reason for the shooting. You can take pictures at the wooden bridge leading to the lake, wooden swings, green lawn or take pictures with the small flock of sheep here.

Suoi Nghe Sheep Field

Suoi Nghe sheep field in Vung Tau has likely developed into a popular tourist site in recent years due to the movement association. A field with a variety of human-raised big and small flocks of sheep can be found in Suoi Nghe commune, Chau Duc district, Vung Tau, on Phuoc Tan – Hoi Bai street.
