Dalat tourist spot: The most suitable place to roam in Vietnam

Dalat tourism overview

With an altitude of 1,500 m above sea level, Da Lat’s weather is cool, making it an ideal resort in the southern region. Once famous for attractions such as the Valley of Love, Than Tho Lake, Thong Hai Mo Hill, Elephant Waterfall,…

Today, Da Lat no longer retains the wild look as before. The main attractions when traveling to Dalat include Xuan Huong Lake, Langbiang Peak, Bao Dai Palace, Tran Le Xuan Palace, Truc Lam Son Monastery, Tuyen Lam Lake, Da Lat Railway Station (Trai Mat Station). … Only about 300km from Saigon, Da Lat is a great resort helping tourists escape the hot sweltering heat of Southern Vietnam.

Transportations

Plane: There are direct flights from Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City to Lien Khuong airport. Fares range from 900,000 VND to 1,600,000 VND, and flight time is from 50 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.

Note: From Lien Khuong airport, you can catch the airport bus to the city center for 50,000VND or take a taxi for about 300,000 VND/time. Airport buses will run continuously during the day, the last stop in Da Lat city is Le Thi Hong Gam street, right at Da Lat market. You should ask the driver for directions and the address of the hotel you have booked to get off at the nearest stop.

Bus: Phuong Trang bus and Thanh Buoi bus have many trips to and from Saigon – Da Lat, the price of sleeper bus tickets ranges from 230,000 VND to 300,000 VND/ticket/way. Buses run continuously, each trip is from 30 minutes to 1 hour apart.

Limousine: The fleet of Minh Tri Limousine supercars is a fully imported VIP car with a passenger compartment consisting of 9 massage seats. Specifically, 4 rows of luxurious leather seats in front and 3 rows of rear seats are folded into beds, providing a space that is both luxurious and comfortable for you during the journey. Ticket price: 180,000 VND – 300,000 VND per person.

Some spots to visit first in Dalat

Da Lat Market and Am Phu Market: are the destinations not to be missed first when traveling to Da Lat. There are beautiful and unique second-hand warm clothes, along with specialties such as mulberry juice, artichoke tea, dried mixed, jams and beans …Xuan Huong Lake: The symbol of Dalat tourism. Early morning and sunset are the time when Xuan Huong Lake is the most beautiful. There are games of duck pedaling, motorboat rides or rubber boat rides on the lake.

Bao Dai Palace: also known as Palace III: is a beautiful and elegant mansion located on a hill 1539m high. Located on Trieu Viet Vuong street, 2.5km south of Da Lat center.

Da Lat train station: located at 1 Quang Trung, Da Lat (Da Lat station). Many visitors often come here to take photos.

Dalat Flower Garden: located at 2 Phu Dong Thien Vuong, 2km from the city center. People traveling to Dalat often visit the flower garden to admire the colorful flowers and hunt for beautiful and poetic pictures.

Da Lat Cathedral (Chicken Church): on the top of the bell tower, there is a big chicken. This is Da Lat’s largest church and one of the most typical and ancient architectural works left by the French in the city.

Scientific Research Institute of Highland: located on the top of Tung Lam hill, nearly 10km from the center of Da Lat city on the way to Suoi Vang. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the Biology Division is also a museum of animals and a botanical garden.

Domaine de Marie Church: also known as Vinh Son Church/Mai Anh Church. Located on Ngo Quyen Street, about 1km southwest of the center. The church was built in the European style of the 17th century, with a harmonious combination of Western architecture with the architecture of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

Da Lat Pedagogical College: recognized by the World Association of Architects as one of the 1,000 unique constructions of the world in the 20th century. The highlight of the arc-shaped house is the bell tower, called the bell tower.

Trai Mat Station – Linh Phuoc Pagoda: At Trai Mat, there are tourist attractions such as King Bao Dai’s resort camp, Trai Mat market or Linh Phuoc pagoda. Especially, Linh Phuoc Pagoda has a unique mosaic architecture, especially a dragon statue made of 12,000 beer bottles, so the pagoda is also known as Ve Chai Pagoda.

Langbiang Peak and Mountain: 12km from the center to the North. There are two options for you to get to the top of Langbiang Peak: climbing or taking a jeep. A full jeep is 180,000 thousand VND, if you go alone, you have to wait for the car for 6 people (50,000 VND / person), and it takes about 15 minutes to reach the top. If you choose to climb the mountain (follow the asphalt road to the top), you have to go about 7-8 km, it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the top. The road to the top of the mountain is flanked by pine trees and wildflowers. At the top of the mountain is a ravishing view, and you can also enjoy grilled dishes here.

Cu Lan Village:  a brand new attraction of Da Lat tourism, is a beautiful and romantic small village nestled between thousands of hectares of wild primeval forest at the foot of the spreading Lang Biang mountain, far from the area. Travel to Golden Valley 9km in the direction of Suoi Vang – Suoi Bac.

Tuyen Lam Lake: located at an altitude of 1000m above sea level, 5km from the center to the south, on the section of Prenn pass. Here you can rent a boat to the island, a round trip is 200,000 VND, you should rent it with other guests to save money, or you can also go around the lake (turn left) along the road to the island. When you go to the island, you can enjoy wild meat naturally, remember to bring a canvas to sit on for fun, beautiful scenery, and check-in “virtual life”. At noon here, you can rent a hammock for 7,000 VND / hour, between two pine trees to sleep.

Prenn Waterfall: Located at the beginning of Prenn Pass, on Highway 20 from Saigon to Da Lat, 10km from the center to the south. Coming to Prenn waterfall, in addition to watching the magnificent waterfall and immense pine hills, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy the specialty snakehead fish porridge priced from only 160,000 – 200,000 VND for 4 people to eat.
