Phu Yen – One of famous tourist places in Vietnam: The splendor of “the land of yellow flowers on green grass”

In recent years, Phu Yen has been known by tourists for its pristine and majestic beauty, and its rustic people. In particular, this place also has many fresh and delicious seafood dishes. Phu Yen is a province in the South Central region, the north has Cu Mong Pass, the south is Ca Pass and the east is the East Sea.

Phu Yen has nearly 190km of coastline with many bays, beaches, lagoons and scenic spots suitable for the development of marine tourism, resort tourism and ecotourism. It also has abundant aquatic resources.

How to get to Phu Yen?

Tuy Hoa airport serves Phu Yen and is about 5 kilometers from the city center. Currently, there are two airlines serving flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to this locality, Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airlines, with ticket prices from 1.5 to 5.5 million VND (depending on ticket type).

If tourists in localities do not have a connection to Tuy Hoa city, they can choose to travel by train. Tuy Hoa station is also located right in the center of the city, only about 4km from the beach. If you take a taxi over 15km in Phu Yen, you can ask the driver to make a contract for only about 10,000 VND/km.

Nghinh Phong Tower

Nghinh Phong Tower, located at the intersection of Nguyen Huu Tho and Independence Street (Tuy Hoa City), is a new tourist icon of Phu Yen. The tower was built inspired by the iconic local Disc Stones. In the evening (18h – 21h), the lighting equipment at Nghinh Phong tower is opened, demonstrating beautiful lighting effects.

Due to its special location and design, visitors who come here at any time can still enjoy taking pictures and checking in with this famous landmark. Coming here, visitors will not lose sightseeing fees, parking tickets of 3,000 VND/motorbike and 10,000 VND/car.

Ho Son (Son Lake)

Ho Son regulating lake is an artificial construction with an area of about 20ha, the purpose of which is to help drainage, flood control and climate regulation for Tuy Hoa city. When entering the inauguration, this place suddenly became an attraction for many people and visitors to take photos of “virtual life”.

This place does not charge a fee, the ideal time to come here is from 6:30 to 8:00 am because the weather is still cool and quite empty, suitable for photography. In the afternoon from 16:30, it is possible to start “hunting” the sunset.

Nhan Tower

Nhan Tower is in the heart of Tuy Hoa City. This is an architectural relic of the ancient Champa tower temple, built around the 11th century. At this location, there is no entrance fee, if visitors choose to travel by electric car, the one-way service price is 10,000 VND/adult, 5,000 VND/child; the round trip is 15,000 VND/adult, 8,000 VND/child

Coming to Phu Yen, visitors absolutely should not miss the famous landmark Ganh Da Dia because this is a “unique” landscape in our country. Ganh Da Dia is located in Tuy An district, approximately 35 kilometers north of Tuy Hoa city. It was ranked as a Special National Monument in 2021.

This is a paid location, with a ticket price of 20,000 VND/person, if you choose to travel by tram, you can lose about 15,000 VND/person. The advice for visitors is to move to this place in the time frame from 7 – 10h and 15h – 17h30 to avoid the harsh sun in the summer in Phu Yen.

Mang Lang Ancient Church

Mang Lang ancient church is also located in Tuy An district, about 10km from Ganh Da Dia scenic spot. This church was established 130 years ago, making it one of Vietnam’s oldest. In particular, this is the place where the first printed book in the national language of Vietnam is currently kept. This is a free tourist destination. Every year, the ancient church of Mausoleum welcomes tens of thousands of visitors.

Longest wooden bridge in Vietnam

Ong Coc wooden bridge is located in An Ninh Tay commune (Tuy An district), about 4km from Mang Lang church. The bridge has a length of about 800m and is considered the longest wooden bridge in Vietnam.

This is a residential bridge that connects the northern villages of An Ninh Tay commune, Tuy An district, and Xuan Dai ward, Song Cau town (Phu Yen) across the Binh Ba River. Thousands of people visit this bridge each year. To go to the bridge to take pictures of tourists, it takes from 3,000 to 5,000 VND/person.

Hon Yen scenic spot was recognized as a national scenic relic in 2018. Hon Yen is also located in Tuy An district, about 15km north of Tuy Hoa city, about 20km south of Ganh Da Dia scenic spot. In 2018, Hon Yen was recognized as a national scenic relic.

Yen Island is famous for its rare and beautiful coral reefs. To see coral, visitors should come here on the afternoon of the first day of the month or between lunar months, at which time the tide will recede to reveal colorful coral reefs. This is a free attraction.

Take in the first sunrise on land

Mui Dien (Mui Dai Lanh) in Dong Hoa town (Phu Yen) is known as one of the first few sunrise spots in Vietnam. This landmark is located around 30 kilometers south of Tuy Hoa City. Mui Dien scenic spot is charged at 20,000 VND/person. In order to watch the sunrise, in Tuy Hoa city, visitors need to wake up at 4:30 and take more than 30 minutes to move into Mui Dien.

The road to Mui Dien is quite steep, with a distance of more than 1km and most people choose to move by walking, while sightseeing and “testing” their health.

The most beautiful sea path in Phu Yen

To reach Mui Dien scenic spot, visitors must pass through the road at the foot of Deo Ca. This is National Highway 29, an important HYPERLINK “https://dantri.com.vn/xa-hoi/giao-thong.htm” traffic route in marine economic development in Phu Yen.

With its location on one side is the vast sea, blue water, on the other side is the majestic mountain, the road at the foot of Ca Pass in recent years has attracted many visitors to take pictures and check in. This place is also likened to “the most beautiful sea path in Phu Yen” by many people.

Vung Ro Bay

Vung Ro Bay is a small bay in the commune of Hoa Xuan Nam (Dong Hoa town), about 4 kilometers south of Mui Dien. There are numerous tiny and medium sand beaches along the coast of Vung Ro. There are numerous species of fish and shrimp in the bay, as well as numerous gorgeous and unusual corals on the seafloor.

Vung Ro Bay is associated with the relic of No.2 pier. Here, the organization received more than 200 tons of weapons from the North to support the Southern battlefield in the resistance war against the United States to save the country. This landmark is free to visit.
