Located in the southwest of Sapa town, Sun World Fansipan Legend is a multi-entertainment complex of cultural and religious tourism, amusement park and resort. Being above of 3,143m the top of Fansipan – known as the “rooftop of Indochina peninsula”, Sun World Fansipan Legend is the location to watch the majestic natural scenery of the Northwest mountain. The mild year-round climate is always “friendly” to help Sun World Fansipan Legend become a favorite destination for tourists, whether traveling alone or in a group.

2. Direction to get there

2.1. Going from Sapa to Fansipan Legend cable car station

From Sapa town center, there are two ways to get to Fansipan Legend cable car station: take the Muong Hoa mountain-climbing train or rent a taxi/motorbike. 

It takes you 6 minutes from the center of Sapa Town to the station to get the Muong Hoa mountain-climbing train there. The train can accommodate about 200 people. Tickets are bought on the 1st floor – Sun Plaza in Sapa or get more attractive offers. The ticket price for the Muong Hoa mountain climbing train is about 100,000 VND/2 way/person.

Rent a car: Besides the Muong Hoa mountain-climbing train, visitors can also get to the cable station by renting a taxi or motorbike taxi which maybe take a bit longer. 

2.2. Take the Fansipan Legend cable car

At the station, you only need to take the cable car for about 15 minutes to reach the “rooftop of Indochina peninsula”.

Because the ticket is only valid for one day, you should not book in advance to avoid being unable to go.

3.1. The record of the cable car system

Sunworld Fansipan Legend Cable Car is one of the tallest, longest and most modern cable cars in the world, recognized by Guinness. With this modern construction, Fansipan Legend has made it easier for tourists to conquer Fansipan peak.

After 15 minutes of sitting on the cable car, you will see the scenery of Northwest Mountain such as Muong Hoa valley showing its own beauty or scenery of Hoang Lien Son range and terraced fields in the mist.

3.2.1. Explore the spiritual complex of Thanh Van Dac Lo

Thanh Van Dac Lo gate is also known as Sapa heaven gate. Pass the gate, you will enter the spiritual area. This is a complex of spiritual works built according to the architecture of the Ly’s dynasty. You will feel like floating in the air with fresh air and cool wind at the place of heaven and earth of Thanh Van Dac Lo.

3.2.2. Feel peaceful at the 9-storey waterfall

The 9-story waterfall is an architecture of Sunworld Fansipan Legend. With a height of 30m, the 9-story waterfall is a pillar carved with Buddhist scriptures with 150 stone steps on both sides. When you step up, you will see 9 cascades flowing through stone pillars carved with Buddhist scriptures.

3.2.3. Admire the Buddha relics jade statue

The Buddha relics jade is placed the Great Amitabha Buddha – made from blonde and known as the tallest Great Buddha statue in Vietnam. The statue was presented to Vinh Nghiem temple by the monks of Myanmar in 2019 to pray for national peace and prosperity. The statue of Buddha’s relics in jade is stored in a small solemn bronze tower shining at an altitude of 3000m. 

3.2.4. Walking on the Arhat path

With a length of 800m, Arhat Road is the convergence of 18 statues of Arhats. The statues are all carved in bronze and have different expressive poses. The statue is about 2,5 km high and 500kg weigh. 

Here, visitors can also admire the beautiful azalea flowers growing along both sides of Arhat Road, some trees have lived up to a hundred years. Flowers bloom from December to the end of June every year.

4. Some unique architectural design

4.1. Watch the flagpole

Considered a symbol of the motherland, the flagpole is located on the top of Fansipan and has a height of 25m. The flagpole is meticulously and firmly built from Thanh Hoa green stone and wood. The flagpole is an architectural construction of Sunworld Fansipan Legend recreating the national characteristics. 

4.2. Lost in a fairy tale with Muong Hoa mountain-climbing train

As one of the most modern trains in Vietnam, connecting Sapa town and Sunworld Fansipan Legend station. The train is small and only about 20m long, designed in European style. From a distance, you can see the yellow and red colors of the train stand out in the middle of Muong Hoa valley.

4.3. Other climbing trains 

Another way to get on top of Sunworld Fansipan Legend is taking Fansipan brings you many experiences. The ship is designed to bend in the shape of an arc. Sitting on the train, you will be a little nervous when sitting in a rather high position. However, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic view of nature on the top of Fansipan in the most comprehensive way.

4.4. Explore some festivals

Sun World Fansipan Legend is one of the places that regularly organizes unique events. The festivals will be held seasonally or on special days every year. There are a number of festivals such as: Winter festival, Azalea flower festival, Sunflower week…. Especially, the Fansipan fireworks festival which is always welcomed by many tourists when they come to visit Sapa.

5.1. Sun Plaza Shopping Center, Tuyet Tung Shop, Da Cham Shop, Hoang Thao Shop…

5.2. Fansipan Hai Cang Restaurant

After 20 minutes of cable car experience at Sunworld Fansipan Legend, from Hoang Lien station you will arrive at Fansipan station. Ha i Cang Fansipan restaurant is located at an altitude of 2700m on the first floor of the arrival terminal. The restaurant can accommodate about 370 visitors.

5.3. Van Son Tra Tea & Coffee and Du Soleil Coffee

There, you can enjoy tea and coffee with completely different experiences: enjoy tea and coffee in a quiet space and a sense of peace while watching the beauty of the clouds, Hoang Lien Son range and the Muong Hoa Valley.
