Revenue and international arrivals have increased dramatically
On June 15, at famous beaches and tourist destinations in Da Nang City, such as Ba Na Hills, Than Tai Mountain, Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area, Han Market, Linh Ung Pagoda… many tourists visit and shop.
Han Market – Da Nang’s famous tourist market attracts many foreign tourists to visit and shop. The delegations mainly came from Korea, some Southeast Asian countries, India, and the influx of visitors from Europe. The tourist market is very bustling every day, welcoming about 5,000 to 6,000 visitors.
Many old international routes have been resumed, and several new international courses have been and are being deployed. Aviation activities gradually restored to help Da Nang tourism industry diversify the market and attract more and more to the city. Not only by air, many international delegations from the UK, USA, Australia, Canada… come to Da Nang to visit by sea.
According to statistics, the number of customers serving accommodation establishments in May 2023 is estimated at 702.3 thousand, up 95.6% over the same period in 2022, of which international visitors are estimated at 169,800; accumulated in the first 5 months of 2023, the total number of guests serving accommodation establishments is estimated at 2,826 thousand, an increase of 3.1 times over the same period in 2022.
Revenue from accommodation activities is anticipated to be VND 940 billion in May 2023, up 93% from the same period in 2022, and VND 3,973 billion in the first five months of the year, up 150.8%; revenue from travel activities and tourism support services in May 2023 is estimated at VND 400 billion, up 202.4% over the same period 2022, accumulated in 5 months of the year is estimated at VND 1,545 billion, up 4.2 times.

Da Nang is the most searched in summer
Recently, the Booking.com platform published the latest survey on the most popular destinations in and out of Vietnam this summer. Data shows that Da Nang remains the leading position and is the most sought-after domestic destination. During the summer holidays, the coastal city of Da Nang has many attractive events to serve visitors, including the International Fireworks Festival 2023.

At the same time, the People’s Committee of Da Nang City issued a plan to organize a festival program to enjoy the summer of 2023 “Wow Da Nang” (Enjoy summer festival 2023 “Wow Da Nang”) from July 28 to August 1 with the desire to create an abundance and attractiveness for the series of tourism events of the city in 2023, contributing to positioning Da Nang – Asia’s leading festival and event destination; introducing and promoting the city’s destination with new, diverse, attractive tourism products, stimulating customer spending… This is an annual cultural tourism event of the city, contributing to attracting and serving domestic and international tourists to Da Nang during the summer.
There will be 10 primary activities, 2 networking activities, and 4 socialising activities throughout the program, such as the Vietnam – International Food Festival, the expanded chef contest “Enjoy delicious Vietnamese food.” There will be a “Street Dance” program, a “Street Music” program, and a “Youth Art Playground” with folk dancing, street dance, hip-hop, and other sorts of street art on both sides of the Han River.
The festival will also have performances and exchanges of Argentine Tango dance; down the street, perform typical tuong extracts, traditional music concerts, festival programs, and art shows in tourist areas and spots in the area, besides there is also a yoga performance to spread the message of healthy living and positive living to the community…
In addition, there is an art music program, “Enjoy the Summer” that will also be held every night, taking place in a festival to protect the marine environment, “Blue Ocean”, and there is also a beautiful photo contest, Check-in Chill and Festival”.
