Actually, not only admiring the beauty, visitors also get to experience the culture of the ethnic minorities. And one of the peaceful lands of the ethnity here that makes visitors most excited is Y Linh Ho village.

The location of the village

Y Linh Ho village is surrounded by the majestic Hoang Lien Son range, located in San Sa Ho commune. Along the Muong Hoa Valley, from Sapa town, you go to Lao Chai village. Passing Lao Chai village about 3km at the foot of the slope, visitors will see a glimpse of Y Linh Ho village, where you can see the most amazing terraced fields. From there, you see the tiny Lao Chai San 2 bridge on the left hand crossing the deep abyss to connect Lao Chai Village and Y Linh Ho Village. You just cross this bridge that arrives at Y Linh Ho Village.

We recommend you go on foot to the village because the bridge is so tiny and its construction is so simple that it is just suitable to cross by walking. The path to Y Linh Ho Village is still so bad and not suitable for motorbikes but suitable to check-in and take photos to make memories.

It is said that, a long time ago, the area around Y Linh Ho village (nowadays) was reclaimed and opened by some Dao people, led by Mr. Ly Linh Ho. After a long period of living and building, a new village of the Dao people was formed, named Y Linh Ho to remember the man as the leader of the village.

Located quite far from the main road, the road to Y Linh Ho village is steep and winding, so unlike other villages and hamlets in Sa Pa Town, this village is still unspoiled and not noisy because of the traffic, but peaceful and quiet.

Currently, the village is divided into two smaller villages: Y Linh Ho 1 and Y Linh Ho 2, each village has about 100 families. The people here live mainly by farming rice and growing corn.
