The reason why the museum is called Dong Dinh is that there are many trees around the family – a tree of the areca family that grows mainly in the Son Tra forest area and is the highlight of the ecological landscape here. To get to Dong Dinh Museum, you will follow the Hoang Sa sea route leading to Son Tra peninsula. You continue to walk towards Linh Ung Pagoda and you will immediately see an entrance to the museum located on the left side of the road.

The antique display area at Dong Dinh Museum consists of two long houses designed in the ancient style of the Kim Bong craftsman in the past. There are many collections of special cultural value and ancient artifacts of 54 ethnic groups stretching from the North to the South, which are still preserved here.

 In particular, there must be a special collection of Sa Huynh cultures such as willow leaf earrings, and stone anklets. Or a collection of ancient Champa ceramics, Dai Viet ceramics with a variety of varieties originating from the Ly, Tran, and Nguyen dynasties.

Although the road to Dong Dinh Museum is quite flat and beautiful, there are still steep bends, so if you ride a motorbike, pay attention to keep the handlebars steady and go slowly for easy observation.

There will be no stops on the way to Son Tra peninsula, so before you go you should check the fuel tank to avoid running out of gas in the middle of the road.

Unlike other places in Da Nang, there are not many restaurants around the museum, so prepare food and water to bring.

Because the museum is located in the mountains and forests, please choose appropriate clothes such as long pants, long-sleeved shirts… to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes or bugs and remember to wear sports shoes for the most comfortable walking. You can also bring insect repellent or spray.
